PURPOSE:To extend life and lighten it while reducing cost by using an organic polymer sheet which dispersed silica powder between an EL element and a moistureproofing sheet at the specified surface density when covering the film EL element formed on a translucent substrate with the moistureproofing sheet. CONSTITUTION:When covering, with a sealing sheet 12, the surface of an EL element 1 consisting of a translucent substrate 2, a belt-shaped lower transparent electrode 3, a lower insulating layer 4, an EL light emitting layer 5, an upper insulating layer 6, and a belt-shaped upper electrode 7 which crosses the lower transparent electrode 3 at right angles, it is done as follows. That is, the sheet 12 is constituted of an upper moistureproofing sheet 13 and a lower moistureproofing sheet 14, and space 16 is generated above an element 1 in advance. Also, the sheet 12 is constituted of a laminate made of a metallic foil 21 such as Al, etc., of 5-50mum in thickness and an organic film 22 such polyester, etc., of the same thickness, and the lower sheet 14 is constituted of cellulose, polyethylene, vinyl acetate, or the like, which dispersed silica fine powder at a surface density of 10-500g/m<2>, and the thickness is 0.01 to 1mm. |
