ARRANGEMENT WITH FRAME FOR REMOVING BINDING SURROUNDING A BALE

An arrangement for removing the binding surrounding a bale (7) comprises a frame (1) with a cutting device (5) for cutting the individual coils (6) of the binding, and a winding device (8). The cutting device (5) operates independently of the position of the coils (6). To this end, the cutting device (5) has blades (23a, 23b) which co-operate like scissors and make a continuous series of incisions in the bale (7) perpendicular to the binding. The winding device (8) is connected to a gripper head (24) which removes the severed coils (6) of the binding from the bale (7). The gripper head (24) grips the coils (6) between two guide rods (19) which press against the bale (7) perpendicular to the binding.
