Learning and relaxing device for stimulating the central nervous system and the brain currents of a human being by transmitting pulsating light signals to the left-hand and right-hand eyes and pulsating sound signals to the left-hand and right-hand ears of the human being, as far as possible excluding optical and acoustic perceptions from the surroundings of the human being, having a control device for individually varying the pulsating light and sound signals of the respective right-hand and left-hand channel, and a program-controlled control device (1, 6) which outputs an individual function or a selection of functions of varying frequencies and/or amplitudes and/or pulse duty factors (mark-space ratios) and/or phase angles of the light or sound signals. <IMAGE>
