The bulk good grate cooler has a moving and rigid cooling grate area, in which cooling air is injected to a transverse conveying direction of the bulk good. A good to be cooled is conveyed from a pusher grate or a grill plate series in a rotably adjusted conveying direction (4) through a transverse conveying direction terminal. The cooling grate area carries a controlling system (5) at an adjoining side wall. The cooling grate area is extended inwardly from the adjoining side wall and upwardly from a respective side wall.
