The invention relates to a sheet-guiding device in printing machines to assist the sheet-conveying, the sheet-guiding device being arranged below sheet-guiding cylinders and consisting of guide bars or guide plates and extending over the width of the cylinders. The object of the invention, to design a sheet-guiding device in such a way that it functions, at the same time, as a creasing check, is achieved in that the sheet-guiding bar, seen in the sheet running direction, consists of a pivotable sheet-guiding bar and a fixed, rear sheet-guiding bar, the front sheet-guiding bar being designed as a coupler of a four-bar linkage and the four-bar linkage being assigned a limit switch which stops the printing machine. <IMAGE>
