<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a time to record and reproduce information by providing two control(CTL) heads, and providing CTL tracks of two channels corresponding to those heads on a tape. CONSTITUTION:CTL signals with different contents are recorded and reproduced simultaneously on the CTL tracks 6-1 and 6-2 with two CTL heads 3-1 and 3-2. Therefore, a program searching code is recorded simultaneously separately on the channel 1(CH1) recorded and reproduced with the CTL head 3-1 and the channel 2(CH2) recorded and reproduced with the CTL head 3-2. Thereby, since the bits of the program searching code recorded on one channel go to 33+ or -3, the length of the code is set less by around 30 bits compared with a conventional one, therefore, the time to record and reproduce the code can be shortented by that share. Also, since an address code is also recorded and reproduced extending over the channels 1 and 2, it takes 37 bits per channel, thereby, since the length is reduced by 55 bits less than the conventional one, the time required for recording and reproduction can be shortened by that share.</p> |
