PURPOSE:To obtain the negative picture having very high contrast and high sensitivity and the good dot picture quality of the title material by incorporating a hydrazide or a compd. having a ring structure which is ring-opened with a nucleophilic attack, in the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The part or the whole of the hydrazine compd. which is ordinary used for forming a negative picture having a high contrast or a direct reversal picture, is substituted with the hydrazide or a compd. having the ring structure capable of forming an anion of a conjugate base which is ring-opened with the nucleophilic attack. The compd. having the ring structure is exemplified by the compd. shown by formula I. In the formula, R1 is an aliphatic or an aromatic group which may be substd., R2 is hydrogen atom or a substituting group, D is C=O or C=S group or C=NH group which may be substd., SO, SO2 or N O group, etc., E is oxygen or sulfur atom. Thus, the photographic characteristics of the photosensitive material, such as the very high contrast and the negative gradation are obtd. |
