PURPOSE:To simplify the treatment process, reduce the manufacturing cost, and improve the appearance and the slipping characteristics by interposing a rubber composite layer containing the specific quantity of polybutadiene having a hydroxyl group at the terminal of the chemical formula, between a layer of pile, cloth, paint or others and an EPDM base material. CONSTITUTION:In a weather strip having a layer 4 of pile, cloth or paint formed on the surface of an EPDM base material a, a layer 2 of rubber composite material containing the blend of EPDM and the specific quantity of polybutadiene having the hydroxyl group at the terminal of the chemical formula is interposed between the layer 4 and the base material 1a. The layer 2 of rubber composite material contains butadiene of 10 to 50wt.pt. having a hydroxyl group at the terminal with respect to EPDM of 100wt.pt. Such weather strip may give the bonding force or adhesion force at the layer of pile, cloth or paint without need for pretreatment, such as buffing, primer-halogen or plasma treatment. |
