PURPOSE:To record and reproduce a signal simultaneously on two magnetic tapes with one device by providing a fixed cylinder provided with two leads to regulate the feed of the magnetic tape, two rotary cylinders, and to driving means to rotate the rotary cylinders. CONSTITUTION:The rotary cylinders 1 and 2 are arranged coaxial with the fixed cylinder 3 and also at opposite sides to the fixed cylinder 3, respectively. Magnetic heads 4 and 5 are mounted on the rotary cylinders 1 and 2, and the leads 6 and 7 are provided on the fixed cylinder 3, and control the feed of the magnetic tapes 20 and 21, respectively. Also, the rotary cylinders 1 and 2 are rotated by separate driving means, respectively. In such a way, it is possible to rotate them at different speed mutually, and to perform, for example, the fast feed search or rewinding search of the magnetic tape 21 simultaneously with the reproduction of the magnetic tape 20. |
