PURPOSE:To obtain miniaturized, simplified constitution and to obtain more effective characteristic functions by connecting two three-port circulators between isolation ports of a four-port branching circuit while constituting a signal transmitting or signal converting circuit. CONSTITUTION:Between isolation ports 1 and 4 of the four-port branching circuit (3dB hydbrid), rhree-port circulators 31 and 32 are connected and ports of the circulators 31 and 32 are connected so that reflected electric power from the port 1 is inputted to the port 4. To the port 2 of the circuit 35, a reflection type amplifier 36 with an amplification factor G is connected through a 90 deg. fixed phase shifter 33 and to the port 3, a reflectiok type amplifier 37 having characteristics equal to those of the amplifier 36 is connected. When input electric power (i) is inputted to the circulator 31, the circuit 35 sends out Pi/2 to the ports 2 and 3 and it is phase-shifted by 90 deg. through a phase shifter 33 and reflected by the amplifiers 36 and 37; and a 90 deg. out-of-phase amplifier output Gpi/2 is inputted to the ports 2 and 3, Gpi and 0 are obtained as outputs of the ports 1 and 4, and the circulator 32 outputs P0=G<2>Pi. |
