MEMORY CIRCUIT FOR LISP

PURPOSE:To execute the continuous access of a CAR pointer and a CDR pointer at a high speed by constituting a memory circuit with including two memory cells for CAR pointer and CDR pointer, two pairs of sense amplifiers, a selector and a CAR/-CDR select input to control the selector. CONSTITUTION:Sense amplifiers 105 and 108 read the CAR pointer and CDR pointer to be selected from memory cells 104 and 107 for CAR pointer and CDR pointer. These two pointers are selected by an output data selector 111 in correspondence to the CAR/-CDR select input and outputted from a data input and output 119 through an output data controller 112. The CAR pointer and CDR pointer of the cell on a memory address to be designated in such a way are read. At such a time, by inverting the CAR/-CDR select input, the other pointer is also read. Thus, the continuous access of the CAR pointer and CDR pointer can be executed at the high speed.
