The invention relates to an apparatus for checking the neuromuscular reaction of a patient, especially, but not exclusively, for the purpose of monitoring curarisation and decurarisation. This apparatus is characterised in that it is, in combination provided: - with complementary means 25, 26 and 27 for giving information to the analyser 9 via the stimulator 3 of the instants at which each of the stimulations are emitted, - with a means which, taking into account this information and the delay between the emission of a stimulation and the reception of the corresponding reaction signal, distinguishes in the signal picked up, within a certain tolerance, the periods where the possible reaction signals from the other periods are situated, during which periods only parasites are picked up, - with a means which, during the periods when only parasites can be picked up, measures the level of the signal picked up, and, - with a means which eliminates from the signal picked up the band corresponding to the noise, and this being between the sensor 6 and the means 28 for distinguishing between the periods, in order to form a continuous regulating loop.
