PURPOSE:To make a printer inexpensive dispensing with any driving motor by turning a printing roll with the rotation of the driving roll in press contact with a material to be transferred. CONSTITUTION:A printing roll 12 is pressed against a material 2 to be transferred with a conveyor 1. In a printer of such a type, the printing roll 12 and a driving roll 22 are arranged on a frame 7 moving backward and foreward with respect to the conveyor 1. The printing roll 12 and the driving roll 22 are connected to each other in linkage. In press contact with the material 2 to be transferred, the driving roll 22 is driven to rotate the printing roll 12 by way of the driving roll 22. |
