A device for removing wrapper wires from wrapped objects, such as bales of pulp 1, is characterized in that a movable arm 4 is connected, on the one hand, to at least one rotatable toothed wheel 10' and, on the other hand, to at least one foot or foot-like part 12 which projects in the opposite direction to the direction in which a wrapped object 1 is advanced and which is intended to be applied against the outside of the said object. The role of the wheel 10' is to grip each wrapper wire 2 between adjacent teeth 11 and to drive the wire up onto the top side of the foot part for the purpose of moving the wire a distance away from the outside of the object, thereby permitting cutting of the wire. <IMAGE> |
