In order to protect, in particular, balconies (6), with their lateral connection, from precipitation which can penetrate laterally into the plaster facade, the invention provides a moisture safeguard which comprises a moulding (1) which is mounted next to the balcony slabs and adjoins the moisture insulation and/or its vertical upturn (5). The water penetrating laterally into the plaster can thus be intercepted by the abovementioned moulding (1) and channelled away in front of the plaster plane via the drainage edge (3) (see Figures 1 and 2). <IMAGE>
