The application relates to a motor-vehicle door lock, bonnet lock or the like with a lock latch, a detent pawl, a lock mechanism and an auxiliary locking drive for the lock latch, the auxiliary locking drive comprising a drive motor and a force-transmission train guided from the drive motor to the lock latch, and the auxiliary locking drive being switched on by the lock latch or the detent pawl when the pre-locking position is reached, and then bringing the lock latch motively out of the pre-locking position into the main locking position, a manually disengageable coupling being arranged in the force-transmission train, and the manually disengageable coupling being connected to at least one actuating element, for example to an outer lock cylinder or an inner opening lever, and, if need be, being disengageable by means of this actuating element. So that the motive locking aid can, if need be, be rendered ineffective without a time delay, provision is made, according to the invention, for the disengageable coupling always to be connected directly to the outer opening handle of the motor-vehicle door lock as an actuating element and to be disengageable at any time as a result of the actuation of the outer opening handle.
