PURPOSE:To discharge the drained water produced during the cooling or the heating without allowing it to stand, by collecting the drainage in trays provided indoors or outdoors and, after actuating a driving device of an atomizer, by atomizing it by the vibration of an ultrasonic vibrator and mixing it with the current of air from an outdoor fan. CONSTITUTION:An atomizer 8 having an ultrasonic vibrator 14 is driven by an atomizer-driving device 12. During the cooling operation, the drained water produced by condensation at the surfaces of the fins of an indoor heat exchanger 4, collected once in a tray 7 indoors, is collected in a tray 6 outdoors and then atomized an atomizer 8 by the action of an ultrasonic vibrator 14; the atomized water is mixed with the current of air sent out from an outdoor fan 3 so that the drainage is discharged without being retained. During the heating operation, the drainage produced by condensation at the surfaces of the fins of the outdoor heat exchanger 2 or by defrosting of the ice formed on the surfaces of the fins of the outdoor heat exchanger 2 falls down the outdoor heat exchanger 2 and is collected in a tray 6 outdoors, this drainage is discharged outside without being retained in the same manner as in the case of the cooling operation. |
