PURPOSE: To increase a coupling coefficient of an electromagnetic field between two microwave structures by constituting a device as a slender hole extended on a common wall between a microwave structure, and forming a configuration of a tooth extended in a hole of at least one part of a peripheral part of a hole. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic wave power is coupled from a first hollow 18 through an iris 32 provided on a common wall 22 to a second hollow 20, and the electromagnetic wave power is coupled from a first waveguide 24 to a second waveguide 28. The iris 32 is provided with a tooth 34, and it is projecting from the slot-shaped both side edges of the iris 32 toward the direction of the center line of the iris 32. Thus, surface currents are allowed to enter the part of the tooth 34 of the iris 32, a magnetic dipole is formed, and an effect called the magnetic polarization of the iris 32 is generated. Thus, the coupling coefficient of the electromagnetic wave power passing through the iris 32 can be increased by such magnetic dipole. |
