<p>PURPOSE:To prevent aperture ratio from decreasing and to improve quality by permitting display failure caused by the inversion of liquid crystal molecule orientation generated on a picture element electrode to take place on an active element part or the enlarged part of the picture element electrode. CONSTITUTION:The display failure caused by the inversion of the liquid crystal molecule orientation on the picture element electrode 3 takes place on the enlarged part 3b of the picture element electrode or the opaque active element part. Namely, the failure occurs at the gate of the picture element electrode 3, and at the part 3b which is intruded into a drain electrode 12 or the part 3c which is electrically connected with the opaque active element part. Therefore, the display failure becomes indistinctive, and when black matrix is used, the area does not have to be enlarged. Thus, the decrease of aperture ratio is eliminated and the display part quality is improved.</p> |
