PURPOSE: To enable use of 10 or less pins for a bowling game by including a game control means which is combined with a pin setting control means and controls the operation of the pin setting control means to start a bowling game, previously selects an arrangement of pins automatically and regularly, and sets pins by a pin setting machine. CONSTITUTION: This device has an automatic pin setting machine 14 which can be easily operated to set 10 or less than 10 pins on a bowling lane 12 under the control of a pin setting control device, which is electrically connected to a game control device. The game control device has a central processing device and a memory. The central processing device is to start a bowling game according to a bowling game program put in the memory. And the central processing device is electrically connected to a video display and displays data on a bowler' s gains according to the mules prescribed by a pin detecting means attached to the pin setting control device. The pin setting control device is controlled regularly by a game control program during a game, and can control setting of pins to be arranged as previously selected and arrange 10 or less than 10 pins according to the logic of a specific game during the game.
