PURPOSE:To decrease a loss of driving force by forming surface roughness of one part larger than those of other part of the vibration transmitting section of an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is constituted by piling two circular piezoelectric vibrators and a circular elastic member 3 in a thickness direction to constitute a stator and by providing an almost ring-shaped protrusion 3a of vibration transmitting section for applying vibration energy acting on a surface of the elastic member 3. Of the protrusions 3a provided to this elastic member 3, one part 3a' forms a protrusion surface by slicing (sliced surface 3b) or grinding (ground surface 3c) into large surface roughness, and the other protrusion 3a forms its surface into surface roughness (2S to 3S) similar to that in the past. Hence, creaking is prevented in the motor till its time of use reaches 200 hours. |
