PURPOSE:To provide a uniform insulating layer to eliminate image noises and to enhance image quality, by laninating the insulating layer via a thermoplastic resin layer obtained by expanding under heating a thermoexpandable component on a photoconductive layer formed by dispersing a photoconductor dispersed into a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:As a binder, 15pts. hardenable cyclic butadiene rubber is added to 100pts. CdS powder, mixed by passing them through a roll mill, CdS is dispersed into the binder, and they are dissolved and/or dispersed into toluene. An aluminum drum is coated with these mixture, and the binder is hardened under heating to form a photoconductive layer. A soln. of a thermoplastic resin contg. a thermoexpandable component, such as propane, dispersed into a styrene type copolymer is applied to the photoconductive layer to form a resin layer. This is further coated with a photosetting epoxyacrylate resin, and the coated layer is hardened to form an insulating layer. The electrophotographic receptor thus formed has a uniform insulating layer, so, an uneven image is prevented, and an image good in electrostatic contrast can be obtained. |
