PURPOSE:To totalize article sales by shops without paying attention to any shop in POS terminal operation by sticking shop-identification bar codes which serve as price tags on articles and reading them by a bar code input device as well JAN codes. CONSTITUTION:At each shop, price tags 1 where bar codes for shop identification are printed are stucked on articles to be sold and they are displayed. At a reckoning corner, a shop identification bar code stuck on an article and a JAN code are scanned and inputted by the bar code input device 3. A POS terminal 2 registers necessary information in a shop-classified sales totalization table 8 when the shop identification code and JAN code are both registered. Then the data in the shop-classified totalization data 8 are used and the POS terminal 2 sends various reports and data to a host computer 9, which totalize sales by the shops. |
