<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the repeated deformation of an expansion part and the collision of the front and back parts of an expansion joint by providing a vibration-proof unit in parallel top the axial direction of the joint for operation to absorb the gradual displacement of piping and working as a rigid body against the sudden displacement of the piping. CONSTITUTION:A bellows 4 is fitted between a front stopper 3a and a back stopper 3b, and brackets 6 are provided for the front stopper 3a and the back stopper 3b. Furthermore, a vibration-proof unit 7 is provided between the brackets 6. According to the aforesaid construction, the vibration-proof unit 7 follows up the displacement of an expansion joint exposed to a static load including the thermal expansion of piping. Also, the unit 7 is fixed when exposed to a dynamic load such as a vibration. As a result, the repeated deformation of the bellows 4 and collision at the front and back of an expansion joint 1 are prevented, thereby preventing the fracture and damage of equipment.</p> |
