A data coding and shaping device, suitable to receive at its input a flow of information arranged in byte form, comprising, on the one hand, a random-access memory in which the data are stored in the form of a matrix, then extracted one after the other, the storage and extraction operations being respectively performed according to different sequences (either by lines then columns, or by columns then by lines), and on the other hand, a first coder and a second coder each able to compute, for each line and each column respectively, a given number of respectively horizontal and vertical redundancy bytes (one of the said coders being connected to the output of the said memory), characterised in that the first and second coders are connected in parallel to the output of the memory, the said second coder (allocated to the computation with redundancy of the sequence opposite to that by which the information are extracted from the memory) being able to store the partial computations performed by the latter. …<IMAGE>… |
