Circuit arrangement for automatic tracking control

In a circuit arrangement for automatic tracking control in the case of digital audio magnetic tape machines, digital audio signals and further signals of predetermined frequencies being recorded in individual tracks running obliquely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the magnetic tape, a tape drive device (capstan) and rotating magnetic heads are provided and, in a predetermined position of the magnetic heads, a reference pulse is generated, the time between the occurrence of the reference pulse and the sampling of one of the further signals at a predetermined frequency is measured and a correcting variable for the tape drive device is derived from the result of measurement.
