<p>PURPOSE: To dissolve the unstability of a shift operation by forming a seal defining a cylinder portion for holding a fluid to the inside by a cylinder and piston, when the piston is contacted to the cylinder at the non-operation position of the piston. CONSTITUTION: A piston 32 can be slid axially along the pin 37 provided on a clutch drum 24 and also suppressed to a release position by a coned disk spring 36. The piston 32 holds a fluid introduced in the cylinder 34 through a duct 48 provided on a clutch drum 24 in the cylinder 56 by a seal assembly formed by the seal land 54 formed on the surface of the piston 32 and the wall of the clutch drum 24 at the non-operation position. Bleed openings 50, 51 for air extraction and rotary hydraulic fluid release are provided outside the seal land 54 of the piston 32. Therefore, unstability is not generated on the operation of a hydraulic clutch.</p> |
