PURPOSE:To improve operational property by installing a moving body freely movable between fore and aft positions in accordance with input signals, setting a release button into inoperative condition when the moving body is moved to the fore position and releasing the setting when moved to the aft position. CONSTITUTION:A release button 22, a solenoid 18 and their peripheral devices are arranged on the side face of a cylindrical housing 7b in which a key cylinder turned with the operation of a key is pivotably inserted. The solenoid 18 electrically controls an actuator rod 18b to move toward the left by sending electric current to a coil 18a in its specified direction when the key cylinder was turned to a specified position. The operation of the release button 22 is then made impossible by turning a L-shaped lever 27 counter clockwise around a shaft 27a. On detection of the shift lever in the parking position, on the other hand, electric current is sent to the coil 18a in a backward direction to turn a lever 27 clockwise through the rod 18b to make it possible to operate the release button 22. |
