The heat exchange battery for a refrigeration machine comprises a stack of heat exchange plates 1 spaced parallel to one another, a refrigerant fluid circulation tube 2 running in a serpentine manner transversely to the plates and including bends 3 extending in an overhanging manner beyond two end plates of the stack and supply and return sections 4 extending parallel to one of the end plates of the stack in a manner which overhangs outwards with respect to this plate and a box structure surrounding the stack of plates and including air passage openings 8, 9 arranged on two opposite sides of the stack of plates to allow a flow or air parallel to the plates. It is characterised in that the box structure is produced from a thermally insulating material moulded around the stack of plates 1, the bends 3 and the supply and return sections 4 of the circulation tube being embedded in the lateral walls 7 of the box structure. <IMAGE>
