PURPOSE:To obtain the rewritable optical recording medium having a long recording life by laminating mixed films composed of a specific photochromic compd. and long chain fatty acid or long chain alcohol or long chain ester to a Z shape. CONSTITUTION:The optical recording medium is obtd. by using the photochromic compd. expressed by formula I and accumulating the mixed films composed of said compd. and the long chain fatty acid or long chain alcohol or long chain ester as LB films of the Z type in which all the hydrophilic groups face the direction of the substrate. In formula I, R is C=1 to C=31 hydrocarbon. The formation of the J associated body is facilitated and the reproducibility of the associated body formation is improved by accumulating the mixed film composed of the photochromic compd. and the long chain fatty acid or long chain alcohol or long chain ester to the Z type in case of forming the LB films in such a manner. The stability of the colored body is improved in this way. |
