PURPOSE:To enable to operate a screw compressor noiselessly and to prevent abnormal loads from being exerted on a rotor surface or a bearing, by a method wherein a fluid sealed in an operating space is discharged into another low- pressure operating space through a bypass hole provided in the inside wall of a casing. CONSTITUTION:A discharging port 5 is shut off while sealing a small volume of a fluid in the operating space 12 without discharging the fluid into a discharging chamber as in a conventional system, and the fluid is discharged into a separate low-pressure operating chamber 23 through the bypass hole 20. Namely, when rotors 1, 2 are rotated further from the positions shown, the operating space 12 is communicated with the bypass hole 20, and the small volume of the fluid sealed in the space 12 is discharged into the low-pressure operating chamber 23 through the bypass hole 20, so that no sealing-in phenomenon takes place. Accordingly, it is enabled to operate the compressor noiselessly and to prevent abnormal loads from being exerted on the rotor surfaces or the bearing. |
