The invention relates to a projectile (shell, rocket, bomb) or another incendiary body in which the incendiary charge 13 is made up of metal fragments 23 with a high melting point which are embedded in a metallothermic heating composition 25. This composition consists of 55 to 80 % by weight of tungsten trioxide and 5 to 25 % by weight of titanium dioxide as oxidising fuels and of 15 to 25 % by weight of aluminium as reducing agent. <IMAGE>
