An inexpensive and reliable drive for a piston pump (16, 2, 9) for loading an accumulator (5) is presented. The drive consists of an electromagnet (1) with a yoke (11) which is in engagement with the working piston (9). The piston (9) is moved in a reciprocating manner by periodic switching-on and switching-off of the power supply to the coil (13), the pressure medium being delivered from the supply reservoir (8) into the accumulator (5). <IMAGE>
