PURPOSE:To prevent rise of temperature at a cutter edge without soiling working face with cooling liquid, by forming a circulating flow path of liquid which cools a cutter edge made of diamond chips or the like welded to the end of a shank and cooling the edge and the welded part. CONSTITUTION:In the shank portion 2 of a hollow cylindrical cutter body 1 plural number of pairs of circulating flow paths 3, 4 are drilled in parallel with axial center, a copper plate 5 is welded to the lower end of the shank 2 while forming the section shape of the shank 2, a ring-shape ditch 7 connected to the circulating flow paths 3, 4 is carved on the end face 6, and diamond chips 9 or the like and welded on the other end face 8. When cooling liquid is supplied from a going path 3, it enters the ring ditch 7 and takes away heat at welding parts of both end faces 6, 8 and the chips 9 through the copper plate 5 and enters returning path 4 and circulates to a reclaimer. Therefore, the cooling liquid does not flow outside, working place is not restricted, and long life and electrically safe cutter can be manufactured. |
