PURPOSE:To certainly hold a glass plate and make it possible to convey it by consisting a conveyor for holding a glass plate of a support conveyor provided with a belt with high strength teeth large in thickness and width and a pressor conveyor provided with a toothed belt forming protruded branch groups having compressed elasticity on the surface contacting with the glass plate. CONSTITUTION:A glass plate 25 on a belt 39 is conveyed into the space 40 between the support conveyor 4 and pressor conveyor 5 of a conveyance device 2 for holding the glass plate along with the rotation of the belt 39 of an in-let conveyor 6. The thickness of the glass plate 25 having been conveyed is adjusted by the crushing elastic force of the protruded branch groups 34 of the toothed belt 28 of the pressor conveyor 5, and the glass plate 25 is held strongly by the supply conveyor 4 and pressor conveyor 5 and also kept as it is being aligned with the datum line of the support conveyor 4. In this condition the glass plate 25 is conveyed along the datum line and discharged to an out-let conveyor 7 with the lower edge of the glass plate being machined while conveyed. |
