The invention relates to an arrangement for light detection in a light scanning microscope. Preferred area of application are the variants of the light scanning microscopy, in which the available amount of light is limited and a minimum constructional size of the arrangement is important. In the arrangement, the photodetector 4 and/or 5 is designed as a component 3 or 10 (a diaphragm) which constricts the light flux of the primary light through the optics 2 or is connected to such a component. The result of coupling diaphragm 3 or 10 and photodetector 4 or 5 is, that the highly-corrected central part of the optics 2 is still available with the full transparency. <IMAGE>
