A reception circuit includes means for compensating, as a function of the effective modulation, the medium frequency of an IF filter (2, 6, 10, 11) having a relatively narrow band compared with the channel-band width, and a circuit for modifying the signal transmission characteristic of the IF or LF part. Said circuit comprises a signal identification part (28) with circuits (29-33) for determining values characteristic of reception or interference conditions, the inputs of which are each connected to a circuit point of the IF or LF part containing the signal to be treated and to outputs for signals characterizing reception or interference conditions. Said circuit also comprises a signal regeneration part (600) for signals characteristic of reception or interference conditions with at least one amplitude-threshold or time-threshold circuit, the inputs of which are connected to the outputs of the signal identification part (28). It further comprises a signal emission part (200, 400) for sending to individual stages of the IF or LF part regenerated signals characteristic of reception or interference conditions as control signals for influencing the processing characteristic of the signal processing part. The inputs of the signal emission part (200, 400) are connected to the outputs of the signal regeneration part (600). A circuit (25) connected downstream of the signal emission part (200, 400) is provided for reducing the LF level when the input signal level decreases.
