<p>PURPOSE:To deodorize a gas having high intensity of malodor with high efficiency by removing basic malodorous components in a second packed bed with acidic washing water generated in a third packed bed where malodorous components are decomposed by microorganisms and removing acidic malodorous components in a first packed bed with neutralizing water. CONSTITUTION:Neutralizing water supplied from a supplied water tank 19 is sprayed on a first packed bed 14 through a spray water nozzle pipe 20 in order to maintain pH and salt concn. of washing water of a third packed bed 16 at ranges permitting preservation of activity of microorganisms. Acidic malodorous components in the gas 10 to be treated introduced into the packed bed 14 are neutralized and removed by allowing the gas 10 to contact with the neutralizing water. Then, the gas 10 to be treated is guided to a second packed bed 15. On one hand, the washing water sprayed through a spray water nozzle pipe 18 washes off decomposed components of the malodorous components due to the microorganisms sticking to the surface of third packed bed 16, forming acidic washing water. Basic malodorous components in the gas 10 to be treated are removed by the contact of this acidic washing water with the gas 10. Finally, the gas 10 is introduced into the third packed bed 16 and deodorized by microorganisms.</p> |
