PURPOSE:To display the motion velocity component of a living body in the direction crossing ultrasonic beam at a right angle as vector quantity by a method wherein weighting is applied to the receiving signals of the respective channel of a parallel receiving device to and said signals while the codes of the signals are alternately reversed and the frequency spectrum of the added receiving signal is operated by a frequency analyzing means. CONSTITUTION:The receiving signals of respective channels at the same time outputted from receiving phasing circuits 5-1 to 5-j are detected by detectors 6-1 to 6-j and inputted to adders 8-1, 8-2 while weighting is applied to said signals by weighting devices 7-1-1 to 7-2-j. Whereupon, the signals are added while the codes thereof are reversed in the unit based on the signals of two adjacent channels. In A/D converters 9-1, 9-2, complex signals are converted to digital signals to be inputted to cancellers 10-1, 10-2 to remove clutter components and applied to a frequency analyser 11 to operate a frequency spectrum. The motion velocity component in the direction crossing the advance direction of the ultrasonic beam in the motion part of a living body at a right angle is calculated from the calculated frequency spectrum by a velocity operation circuit 12 and combined with the motion velocity component in the advance direction calculated by a Doppler blood flow measuring system to display the motion in the living body as vector quantity. |
