PURPOSE: To make it possible to immediately retune uncut strings when one of strings of a stringed instrument is cut off by providing a guitar with a height adjusting means for adjusting the height of a fixing member for a guitar body. CONSTITUTION: The height adjusting means 96 for controlling the height of the fixing member 90 for the guitar body is adjusted on a position where a tremolo base plate 24 is in a tuned state. If a string is cut off, the means 96 is arranged under the base plate 24 so as to be returned to the initial tuned neutral state and then the base plate 24 is lifted by operating the means 96 by a hand and uncut strings are retuned up to tuned state positions. Thereby even when one of strings is cut off in performance, uncut strings can be instantaneously retuned. |
