The heat medium contg. the heat energy from the water is fed via a conduit from the upper part (14) of the tank (5) to the compressor (16) where it is compressed to a higher pressure. This is achieved by means of energy received from the turbine (2) via a shaft (3), and from a motor (18) also via an output shaft (17). The expansion of the heat transmission medium in the turbine is to such a low pressure that its temp. drops below the water freezing point. Then, a large part of the water fed to the tank (5) is sprayed in small drops into a chamber in which the heat from the water is transferred to the medium. Also a part of the water is sprayed directly onto the tank (5) walls to prevent freezing. Water with pieces of ice falling to the bottom (9) of the tank is set in rotary movement to prevent agglomeration, and is then aspirated by a pump (10) away from the tank bottom space. |
