PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of harmonic waves and a reactive power generated by the operation of a frequency converter to a system by disconnecting the power source circuit of the converter from the system as an independent power source. CONSTITUTION:A pump water wheel 2 is operated as a water wheel at the time of a generating operation, as a pump water wheel at the time of a winding operation, and a wound-rotor induction generator motor 1 and a synchronous machine 5 are driven at a certain controlled rotating speed. The machine 5 is operated as a motor which receives an effective power at the time of generating operation, and its shaft output drives the same shaft of the generator motor 1 and the water wheel 2. On the other hand, the terminal voltage of the machine 5 is maintained constantly by the automatic voltage regulating function of an exciter 6 for controlling the exciting amount of the machine 5 at the time of pumping-up operation, and the machine 5 can thereby stably supply a reactive power necessary for a frequency converter 3. |
