PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a blade rubber by installing a columnar body, longer than the distance between the wiper arm and the glass surface, on the wiper arm via an elastic lip part and turning the columnar body at the time of nonuse of the wiper so as to float a wiper blade on the glass surface. CONSTITUTION:A columnar body 2 is installed on a wiper arm 1, of which the tip supports a wiper blade 5, via an elastic lip part 3 made of synthetic resin. The height of the columnar body 2 is taken to be longer than the distance between the wiper arm 1 and the glass surface 4 to be wiped at the time of normal press of the wiper blade. When the wiper is not used, the columnar body 2 is turned via the elastic lip part 3 so as to abut directly on the glass surface 4. The deterioration of the blade rubber is preventedly, supporting the wiper blade 5 floatingly above the window glass surface. When the wiper switch is turned on in the floating condition, the columnar body can be reset in original condition by the elastic lip part 3. |
