<p>The invention relates to a device for recovering severed or dangling limbs. It will find application in the medical field and will be used especially following an accident for transporting in a sterile and refrigerated medium a severed or dangling limb to a centre for microsurgery. According to the invention, the device 1 comprises, in addition, an insulating enclosure 4 which is capable of being cooled, made up of a sheet of flexible insulating material 5, capable of being stretched out in a horizontal position under the said limb 2 protected beforehand in a sterile insulating bag 3, and then wrapping it around thereby forming a casing 6, and having on its periphery at least one cooling pocket 7 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the casing 6 capable of containing a cooling material. <IMAGE></p> |
