Foot-pedal drive

In contrast to that of a conventional foot pedal, this drive consists of the pedal (1) known from DE-OS 3731992 A1 or of a one-part pedal which is of approximately 120@-wedge-shaped design. In addition to the conventional fastening (2), the pedal is connected to the beater mounting (5) by a band or belt (4) running over a roller (3). By pressing down the front pedal part, the conventional operation is guaranteed. If, however, the rear part is depressed, the beater, which has in the meantime been sprung back, is, dependent upon the fastening 2, moved forward again, which, measured in relation to the treading operation, produces a double beat, dependent upon the interaction of the fastenings 2 and 4. <IMAGE>
