PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality image by exposing necessary information on one of plural surfaces of an original and erasing a latent image in a prescribed area at the time of exposing the other surface when the necessary information such as date is added to the prescribed area, at the time of multiple copying. CONSTITUTION:A shutter 70 is arranged on a photosensitive drum 20 so as to shield reflected light from an original. On the drum 20, an area shielded by the shutter 70 is exposed by a laser 91 as a second exposure means, and a character latent image such as predetermined date is formed. In multiple recording, an erasing lamp 70-1 as a third exposure means is not turned on when exposure is performed by the laser 91, whereas if the exposure is not performed, the lamp lights up and erase a prescribed character written area such as date on the drum 20. Thus, only one exposure suffices for writing the necessary information; therefore a high quality image is obtained. |
