PURPOSE:To improve rotation accuracy through increase of rigidity of the whole of a device and to enable provision of an increased life for a device, by a method wherein a holding shaft is coaxially coupled integrally with a taper shank, and a housing is situated on the outer periphery of the holding shaft. CONSTITUTION:The power of a main spindle 21 of a machining center 20 is transmitted to a planetary roller 73 through a taper shank 10, a holding shaft 30, and a planetary shaft 74. In which case, the planetary roller 73 is rotted and revolved, and a speed is increased in a given speed increase ratio to rotate a solar shaft 72 at a high speed. Thus, a high speed spindle 60 formed integrally with the solar shaft 72 is rotated to a high speed. In which case, in a speed increase spindle device, the taper shank 10 being an input shaft is coaxially coupled integrally with the holding shaft 30 to support a high speed spindle 60 being an output shaft. Since a housing 40 is located on the outer periphery of the holding shaft 30, inclination of the housing 40 through the elastic force of springs 41b and 41c mounted to a rotation stop mechanism 41 is supported by the holding shaft 30, and inclination of the housing 40 is suppressed. |
