PURPOSE:To improve the light fastness of a magenta color image by incorporating a specified magenta coupler and a specified compd. in the silver halide emulsion layer contg. in the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The magenta coupler shown by formula I and the compd. shown by formula II are incorporated in the silver halide emulsion layer. In the formulas, Ar is aryl group, Y is hydrogen atom, X is halogen atom, alkoxy or alkyl group, R1 is 1-20 C alkyl group, J is alkylene group, (n) is an integer of 0-4, R2 and R3 are each 2-4 C alkyl or alkenyl group, R4 and R5 are each 4-8 C alkyl group. Thus, the light fastness, the sensitivity and the gradation of the magenta color image are improved, and the good color reproducibility of the magenta color image is obtd. |
