The apparatus comprises a fixed body 1 and a moving rig 6 whose pivot pin 7 is attached firmly to an indicating needle 8 moving in front of a graduated dial 9; the moving rig is mounted so that it pivots on the fixed body firstly by pivot points 13, 14 and corresponding seatings 15, 16, some at the ends of the pin 7, the others facing the fixed body 2, and secondly by knife-edges 17, 18 and corresponding seatings, some fixed on the body, the others near the ends of the pin 7, the edge 171, 181 of the knife-edges, the pivot points and the corresponding seatings all being aligned. <IMAGE>
