PURPOSE:To simplify the transmitting procedure and to improve the utilization efficiency of the equipment by storing image information of a document in an image memory, when a line of the other party of transmission is not connected, and transmitting automatically the image information which is stored in the image memory, when the line is connected. CONSTITUTION:When the line is being used, by feeding a document by one sheet each, its image information is stored in an image memory 9. After the image information of a final document is stored in the image memory 9, when a prescribed time elapses, a use state of the line is discriminated again. In case of having a state that transmission can be executed by this retransmitting procedure, the image information from the image memory 9 is read out and transmitted. Therefore, since an unprocessed document is not placed on a document placing table, the facsimile equipment can be used in a period until a redial processing is executed, and the utilization efficiency of the equipment is improved.
